Laying in Bed

Laying in bed, trying to fall to sleep watching 'through the Worm Hole' narrated by Morgan Freeman. It's about the possibility of us having 6th sense. Anyhow, one of the scientists phrased this, "Well initially, we have a thought and we become conscious of that thought, then respectively, there's a consciousness of the consciousness of that thought, & than, there's consciousness, of the consciousness, of the consciousness of that thought, & so on... And so on, to infinity."
I was like, "well DUH?"
